About Roi Dayan
Roi dayan, was born in Bewer sheve, graduated with first and second degrees at the academy of music in JERUSALEM.
Roi played in many concerts with an orchestra, solo and An ensemble of mandolin soloists at the chamber music festival in Eilat and at the Mormon University in Israel, among them –
Arte Orchestra, Tokyo – a concert with the winners of the Arte competition, Simpont Raanana conducted by Doron Solomon, Solo in Japan (2023) for Arte competition winner, An ensemble of mandolin soloists at the chamber music festival in Eilat and at the Mormon University in Israel, and more..
During his career, Roi won scholarships and awards-
- Michelangelo Policarpo Award at the International Solo Mandolin Competition, Modena, 2023
- First prize in the “Arte Tokyo” competition for mandolin players, 2022
- First prize in the competition to perform a concerto, Academy of Music and Dance, 2022
- First prize in the Paul Ben Haim competition for performing an Israeli creation, 2016
- America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships with Outstanding honors,2014-2020.
- Study scholarships on behalf of the “Boston Zionist Foundation” in a competition for frita and percussion players at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance
In addition, extensive experience in the field of teaching –
- Beer Sheva Conservatory – mandolin teaching (from 2017).
- “Playing school” – teaching mandolin in schools
- “Giro d’Israele” – an explained concert about the history of the mandolin in Israel
- “Sound and String” show – making music accessible to children in schools
